Youth Ministries Coordinator – Tampa, FL
Position Description:
Hyde Park United Methodist is hiring a part-time Youth Ministries Coordinator to work alongside our Director of Youth Ministries. Welcoming students and families into the ministry are a key part of this role along with the ability to coordinate events and group activities. The best candidate will be able to talk about their faith freely, and not take themselves too seriously! Key Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with youth and families.
- Ensure all guests feel welcome and maintain a follow-up system.
- Encourage students to take their next steps in discipleship.
- Assist in the process of inviting and equipping adult volunteers with Merge.
- Participate in regular youth staff and volunteer meetings, and others as requested.
- Articulate your own faith in an authentic way with youth, parents, staff and volunteers.
- Attend youth functions and meetings as assigned
- Assist with administration, preparation of curriculum and activities for Sunday: youth worship, small groups and Bible studies.
- Communicate on social media in creative ways for students and parents.
- Follow up and check in with spiritual needs and concerns, life encouragement and fun events with our students and volunteers.

Position Qualifications:
- Training and experience working with youth in grades 6-12.
- Digital: proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva (or other design software), Social Media management and content creation
- Events: able to coordinate all elements including fun and curriculum from start to finish
- Small groups: experience leading and shepherding students in spiritual growth
- Our preferred candidate is one who is pursuing a vocation in youth or another area of professional ministry
- Pass a criminal background check
