FCC Great Bend is a rapidly growing Disciples of Christ Church that offers innovative discipleship programming as well as traditional and modern worship services. The church has a positive reputation with the community and is seeing new people attend every week, with 350 regularly attending Sunday worship. Currently, three full time pastors, along with a staff of nine, serve the 600 members who call FCC home. Given that Great Bend’s population is just over 14,000, the church membership represents a significant percentage of the town, reflecting the church’s transformative impact and affirming they are living into their mission of inspiring ordinary people to live extraordinary lives for Christ. Refuge is FCC Great Bend’s growing, dynamic contemporary worship service. In fact, it is growing so much that the church is constructing a larger, even more engaging environment to accommodate the growth. The 55 minute service is led by a full band and uses technology, video media, stage lighting, and popular worship music to create a comfortable space for worshiping and learning together. The ideal candidate for this role is a skilled musician who is able to build and lead volunteer teams, has experience with communications and AVL support, and utilizes media as a part of worship. Someone who is organized, a connector, and appreciates a culture of family and commitment will fit in great at FCC. This versatile, forward-thinking leader is responsible for creating environments that lead people into authentic worship and connection with God. Here are the key responsibilities of the role:

• Provide strategic leadership for all aspects of the Refuge worship experience (vocals, instruments, AVL).
• Create a healthy volunteer serving culture - recruiting, training, and deploying leaders into life-giving serving roles aligned with their gifts and interests.
• Support church communication through ensuring consistent social media presence and creating relevant graphic design elements.
• Collaborate with church staff and volunteer teams in supporting special events.

Position Qualifications:

• Personal and growing relationship with Christ
• Ability to effectively and confidently lead worship (vocals and guitar/keys)
• Ability to recruit, train, and deploy volunteer leaders, musicians, and AVL teams
• Knowledge and demonstrated successful experience with audio, video, lighting
• Experience with graphic design and video production (Adobe Suite)
• Humble, coachable, and teachable
• Innovative, forward thinking, learner
