Position Description:

As the Student Pastor at Community of Faith in Hockley, TX, you'll play a crucial role in leading and shaping the Student Ministry from 6th to 12th grade. Here's a breakdown of what the role entails: Visionary Leadership: Under the supervision of the Executive Pastor, you'll innovate and lead the development of the COF Student Ministry, ensuring alignment with the church's vision, values, and goals. Engaging Experiences: You'll oversee the creation of engaging, biblically sound experiences for students and families, both on weekends and during special events, fostering a lasting impact. Equipping Parents: Through training, classes, and resource creation, you'll empower parents to effectively nurture and disciple their children as spiritual leaders. Team Building: Recruiting, training, and leading a team of staff and volunteers, you'll create a culture of excellence and accountability within the Student Ministry. Safety and Security: Ensuring the safety of students is paramount. You'll establish and enforce quality standards for volunteers, working closely with the Director of Security to implement security measures. Communication and Collaboration: By maintaining open communication with other ministry teams and COF staff, you'll ensure a seamless experience for students and families. Stewardship: By managing the ministry budget, you'll allocate resources thoughtfully to maximize impact. In addition to these responsibilities, you'll stay updated on developments in student ministry and assist with any additional tasks as needed.

  • Demonstrates a close and evolving relationship with Jesus Christ, evidenced by baptism, regular prayer, and study of the Word.
  • Is driven to continually improve job functions, displaying flexibility, focus, and a strong work ethic.
  • Takes initiative within job duties and effectively juggles multiple tasks and projects.
  • Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Collaborates effectively with others, leveraging over 5 years of experience in leading students and volunteers.
  • Thrives under pressure and against deadlines, remaining self-motivated to achieve excellence.
