Position Description:

Seeking a Kids Minister to champion the mission of ‘People connecting people to Christ and their unique role in God’s mission’ in Crosspoint Kids Ministry at the Niceville campus. Further, to direct and oversee Kids staff, environments, and programs, as well as connecting relationally to a team of leaders and volunteers and to ensure the best possible experiences for kids and their families. Duties include:
  • Oversee all aspects of Kids Ministry for the Niceville campus, including programs and staff.
  • Recruit, train, lead and invest in Kids staff and/or volunteer teams
  • Communicate overall vision and purpose of Crosspoint and Crosspoint Kids to families, staff, and volunteers.
  • Regularly evaluate and adjust procedures, programs, space and environments for ministry effectiveness and growth
  • Provide curriculum and resources for teaching teams in all Kids venues
  • Regularly lead in various Kids venues through teaching, games, and worship
  • Create compelling environments and programs for kids and volunteers to learn, grow and serve.
  • Oversee and manage the ministry budget.
  • Ensure safety and security in all Kids spaces by upholding the Safe Environment Policy
  • Lead appreciation efforts for Kids Ministry volunteers.
  • Be a resource and connection between Kids Ministry and Crosspoint Academy.
  • Uphold the Staff Covenant

Position Qualifications:

  • A mature, growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ, as evidenced in growing in the Four Roles of Disciples defined at Crosspoint: Faithful Follower, Helpful Neighbor, Deployed Disciple, Kingdom Builder
  • Strong leadership and relational skills
  • Effective communicator
  • Great at building teams and investing in relationships
  • Strategic thinking, creative and innovative
  • Ability to organize, plan, and manage multiple programs effectively
  • A passion to help kids grow in their faith, including making connections easily with Kids
  • A self-starter who can multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Budgeting skills
  • Teaching and/or Ministry experience required
  • Experience with curriculum, understanding of its developmental appropriateness and an ability to modify/change it along with other experiences in order to fit the stages of the kids within the program
  • Understands development of children, age appropriate discipline and redirection
  • Ability to work as a team and always portray the church, staff, and ministry in the most positive light in the church as well as in the community
