New Community Bible Fellowship is a growing, multi-generational church that is making impact in Northeast Ohio and throughout the world. We have a membership of over 3000 people, with more than 1000 people engaging our ministry on a week-to-week basis. We are touching people for Christ through our Sunday in person and live stream worship services, our over 70 small groups, our community outreach and service initiative Make Cleveland Better and a host of other specialized ministries, conferences and events. We are a non-denominational church deeply committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus and making disciples. We have a strong conviction to help families become healthy and Christ-centered by providing sound biblical teaching, supporting family values in discipleship and strengthening our members in their marriages, parenting and seasons of singleness. This is why we are so excited to create this new position of Family Pastor at New Community. The Family Pastor will help us fulfill our mission by bringing special care, equipping and counseling to families and their children. The Family Pastor will work closely with our teen and children's ministries to ensure that the next generation is being trained up in the ways of Christ. This person will:
  • Lead and organize an effective ministry to parents, youth, and children
  • Oversee the development and implementation of fellowship, worship, biblical teaching ,discipleship and evangelism for children and teen ministries
  • Actively engage with parents, youth, and children to build a healthy community
  • Connect with parents, youth, and children to promote growth in Christ, faith sharing, and ministry partnership

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preference is ministry-related degree, but not required)
  • 5 years’ experience in ministry (formal staffing not required, preferred emphasis of ministry involvement: some aspect of children, teens, families, marriage, singles, etc.)
  • Supervisory experience and excellent leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Passion for family ministry, evangelism, and outreach
  • Self-motivated with strong communication and team-building skills
  • Strong administrative and organizational abilities
  • Research community demographics and utilize technology and social media for outreach
  • Able to work as a team player and provide guidance to church leadership
  • Strong love for people and high relational/people skills
  • Exemplify obedience to the Word of God and a deep-rooted prayer life
  • Ability to recruit, develop and build volunteers for children and teen ministries
  • Clear testimony of a saving, sanctifying, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Model a Christ-like lifestyle and passion for reaching the lost
