St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a full-time Director of Youth Ministry to oversee discipleship of students in 6th-12th grades. Primary responsibilities:

  • Work with an established volunteer team to continue to create engaging opportunities where students get to be a part of mission, worship, learning, fellowship, ministry, and leadership development.
  • Expand and equip a solid volunteer base to be utilized in the execution of the ministry and ensure Safeguarding certifications for all volunteers in accordance with Diocesan procedures
  • Embrace opportunities to connect and build relationships with youth and families outside of the church walls – including those who are a part of St. Mark’s Episcopal Day School
  • Communicate regularly with key ministry stakeholders (parents, volunteer leaders, day school families, larger congregation, local community)
  • Collaborate with colleagues to intentionally coordinate multiple intergenerational events throughout the year
  • Develop and maintain the annual youth ministry budget

Ministry Purpose
