of Houston, Texas, a large, thriving, Gospel-centered church located in the fourth largest city in the United States is seeking a dedicated full-time Assistant Pastor/Director of Youth Ministries. This is a unique opportunity to bring a high level of passion and energy for guiding and shaping many different aspects of the church’s ministry to youth including leading a ministry staff, engaging and training a large group of volunteers, developing and collaborating in vision casting, and overseeing the ministry’s multi-faceted programming of mission trips, fellowship, and service opportunities. Compelled by the love of Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, the congregation of FPC Houston is committed to loving all youth where they are while reaching and inspiring them during their formative years to respond to God’s call upon their lives. The next Director, in addition to building commitment and trust with parents, training and equipping volunteers, and steering a Spirit-led program of mission and ministry opportunities, will join a vibrant pastoral staff and administrative team committed to youth and their families.
The ideal candidate will be Christ-centered, have a college degree, possess five to ten years of experience leading dynamic youth ministries within larger congregations, and have a contagious faith consistent with the principles and beliefs of the ECO denomination.
